Today sparks the day of the official opening of bookings for LEA Virtuals 'Alpes Operation' event. This event will have us departing our Hub at London Luton toward the small mountainous village at Chambery. BEWARE: The next leg is difficult.. At Chambery, you will have to choose an aircraft no bigger than a Beechcraft King Air 350 for 170nm journey to the mountainous airport of Courchevel. Courchevel is an airport located high up in the French Alps at an altitiude of 6,588 feet. The runway legth is only 1722feet (525m) and has a staggering gradient of 18.5%. Are you ready to bear the force of the Winter Alps? Do you have what it takes to land in potentially blizzardous conditions, on a small runway and with several other aircraft in the vicinity.
