Global Ratings Policy v2 January 1st, 2010 On behalf of the Founders and members of the Executive Committee, the VATSIM Board of Governors is pleased to announce the official release of the Global Ratings Policy, version 2 more commonly known as GRP2. GRP was introduced 1 Jan 2008 and during 2009 underwent a complete review by VATSIM Executive Committee. Some components of GRP2, such as the re introduction of the S2 Controller rating and ATC Competencies, were progressively introduced during the 3rd Quarter of 2009. The revised policy will come into effect on 0001z, January 1st, 2010. The major components of the GRP2 are: ï‘ VATSIM Controller Global Ratings ï‘ ATC Competencies ï‘ ATC Assessment ï‘ Graduated Controller Ratings ï‘ Local Rules ï‘ Designated Airspace Appendix A lists the current competencies for all Controller positions. Appendix B details the authorized VATSIM Designated Airspace. Appendix C lists the amendment history for the policy.
